Hi, I’m Carlos Quirós “Caliq”, a wedding photographer based in Oviedo. For more than 13 years I have been telling wedding stories across Asturias through natural, emotional reportage. My aim is that the photos do more than document the day — they should convey how you felt, the small looks, and the spontaneous moments that truly matter. I specialize in wedding reportage: I take only one wedding assignment per day and I never subcontract. I personally shoot every wedding alongside a trusted second photographer; this ensures continuity, visual coherence, and my full attention for each couple. This way of working lets me move freely, remain unobtrusive when needed, and gently direct moments to achieve honest, beautiful compositions. My approach blends a documentary eye with creative touches. I seek naturalness in the images — avoiding rigid poses — and prefer to capture what’s happening in the most beautiful way possible. I also enjoy creative sessions and personal projects that feed my vision: that constant practice helps me deliver wedding reportage with personality and aesthetic sensitivity. I have photographed over 200 weddings in Asturias, and my work has been shortlisted in national and international competitions (Luces de Granada, Quijotes, FEPFI, Top 10 European FEP 2023, Spanish World Cup Team 2023, FAPA Awards, London Awards, IPA Awards). These recognitions reflect my commitment to quality and to photography that is thoughtful, emotional, and lasting.
