I am Sus Pons, a wedding photographer based in Ciutadella, Menorca. Since 2017 I have chosen not to follow trends: I am drawn to the real, the imperfect and the things that happen between seconds. My work blends a documentary sensitivity with an editorial sense — a combination aimed at preserving the pure emotion of the day without sacrificing aesthetics — to deliver an honest, elegant and timeless wedding reportage. My approach is rooted in presence and observation. Rather than directing poses, I listen and adapt to the rhythm of the couple and their celebration. This calm lets glances, gestures and details surface — moments that cannot be planned. I move discreetly to integrate into the day; in this way the images reflect what truly happens, not a staged version of the event. I shoot both digital and film, and I draw inspiration from painters and filmmakers who understand the poetry of slowness and silence. That same sensibility translates into frames with soft grain, slightly out-of-focus moments and restrained compositions that convey truth. I believe wedding photography should be an emotional testimony more than a checklist of poses: memory is built from small instants, and I work to preserve them with respect and care. In practice, my process is simple and close. We start with a conversation to get to know each other, understand your story and breathe the tone you want for the day. During the wedding, I am an active observer: I step in to guide when necessary, but mainly create the space for things to happen naturally. Afterwards, I carefully select and edit the images with the same aesthetic intention — seeking tonal coherence and preserving the feeling of each moment. I primarily work as a wedding photographer in Ciutadella and throughout Menorca, and I am available for destination weddings worldwide.
