I’m Nerea Urdampilleta, a wedding photographer based in Gasteiz / Vitoria, and my approach is born from a passion for authentic stories. I specialize in documentary-style wedding reportage: I observe, blend in and shoot the moments that hold genuine emotion, without forcing poses. This way I create natural, delicate images that let you relive the day exactly as you experienced it. My work is centred on human connection: before the big day I like to meet you, hear how you imagine the wedding and learn which small details matter most to you. That conversation —and, if you wish, an engagement or pre-wedding session— builds trust and helps the day flow naturally. I usually work alone to stay mobile and unobtrusive; when necessary, I collaborate with trusted colleagues so nothing important is missed. Aesthetics, sensitivity and light are essential in my work. I love using golden-hour light and the region’s natural settings to frame intimate moments; black-and-white images also have a special place in my reports because they intensify emotion and give your photographs a timeless quality. On the wedding day my goal is to document everything from preparations through to the party, capturing glances, gestures, embraces and small details that often go unnoticed but that, when seen in the images, bring back all the feeling. I work discreetly, with a good sense of rhythm and a lot of empathy —my background in psychology helps me accompany you calmly and respectfully during meaningful moments. After the wedding you’ll receive a private online gallery to view and share the images, and I usually include a slideshow to relive the day immediately.
