I’m Romy Artiles, a wedding photographer based in Arucas. My aim is to turn your wedding day into a faithful, emotional photographic memory. I work as a wedding reportage specialist, caring for every stage from the engagement shoot to the after-wedding session so your images tell your story with warmth and naturalness. My approach begins with getting to know each couple: I like to talk in person, by phone or via video call to understand how you imagine the day, what concerns you have and which details matter most. This personal connection helps me anticipate moments, organize the coverage more effectively and, when appropriate, recommend a second photographer so no key instant is missed. On the wedding day I’m usually among the first to arrive: I focus on preparations, accessories and those small gestures that often go unnoticed. My working style combines documentary sensitivity with gentle, natural direction that helps couples be themselves. I capture authentic emotions — nerves, laughter, hugs, looks — and the decisive moments: entrance, ring exchange, kiss, exit and first dance. I always work with professional equipment: multiple cameras, a range of lenses and sufficient spares so nothing fails. Photo security is essential: I perform immediate backups and later store copies on external drives after the event. In post-production I make a careful preselection and edit in Lightroom, including individual black-and-white calibration to maintain coherence and personality across your wedding reportage. Delivery is designed with the client experience in mind: a password-protected online gallery and, if you wish, a hand-presented wooden box with a USB stick and printed photographs. I also prepare printed albums and large-format pieces on request.
