I’m Jennifer Macías, a documentary wedding photographer based in Santa Brígida (Gran Canaria). My style is informed by the fine arts: I seek a classic–contemporary aesthetic that turns each moment into a timeless memory. I prioritize the beauty of feeling — the couple’s connection, a relative’s emotion, the energy of the cocktail hour — and I work with intuition and anticipation to be in the right place when emotion unfolds. That allows me to cover the day’s narrative with discretion and elegance, without interrupting the event’s natural flow. How do I work? Before the wedding I like to meet you: talk about your story, the day’s schedule and the priorities you have for the coverage. During the event, my documentary approach leads me to observe, listen and step in when the moment calls for it; for couple or family portraits, I guide you naturally so the images reflect your truth. After the event, I perform careful editing that respects the original atmosphere, ensuring every photo keeps its emotion with a refined aesthetic. I also offer complementary options many couples value — an engagement (pre-wedding) session to get comfortable in front of the camera and capture spontaneous images, post-wedding sessions in special locations or while traveling, and the option of high-quality albums to preserve those memories. I can also prepare short video clips to share the first moments with family and friends on social media or messaging apps. I primarily work at weddings across Gran Canaria and the rest of the Canary Islands, with travel available depending on the project.
