I’m Raúl Cañas, a wedding photographer based in Nou Barris, Barcelona, dedicated to documenting real celebrations with sensitivity and honesty. My work aims to capture what’s authentic: fleeting moments of emotion, sincere looks and small gestures that, over time, become the most treasured memories. I approach each wedding with an emotive, genuine and artistic eye so your wedding reportage truly reflects who you are. I believe curiosity is the engine of great storytelling: it drives me to get to know you, to enter your story and to anticipate the little details that make a difference. On the wedding day I take a discreet and personable approach; I move like a storyteller, observing and collecting spontaneous images without forcing poses, so the photographs breathe truth. The result is a reportage that blends documentary emotion with aesthetic sensitivity, created to be lived now and to become a family legacy. My process is simple and collaborative. Before the big day I like to connect with you, listen to your wishes and understand the moments you want to preserve. During the coverage I work to create a relaxed atmosphere where natural moments surface: I speak little, shoot a lot and accompany you with discretion. Afterwards, you’re involved in the selection and layout of the album if you want a physical keepsake: I love working with natural materials — linen albums, high-quality papers and 180º lay-flat bindings — so the images have the presence they deserve. Although my specialty is wedding photography, I also offer pre-wedding (engagement) sessions to get to know you better and to relax in front of the camera before the big day.
