I’m Susana Ríos, a wedding photographer based in A Coruña, available to work throughout Spain and abroad. Since 2003 I have been telling love stories through images with an editorial and very personal approach: my aim is that, when you look through your albums years from now, you relive the sensations of the day just as you experienced them. My photography is born from trust. I believe the best images appear when you feel calm, free and like yourselves, which is why I avoid forced poses. I prefer to capture smiles, gestures and spontaneous glances that reveal each couple’s character and personality. My style is real, feminine, gently nostalgic and very close: I work with natural light whenever possible and look for clean, elegant and emotive compositions that feel timeless. How I work: before the big day I like to get to know you — an engagement session is an excellent opportunity for that — so I can understand your story and the way you are together. On the wedding day I work discreetly and observantly, combining documentary photography with thoughtful portraits when the moment calls for them. My priority is that you enjoy the celebration without interruptions while I collect the moments that truly tell your story. Why entrust your reportage to me? Because I care about both aesthetics and emotion: I look after the visual narrative so every image has meaning within the whole; and because my experience allows me to anticipate key moments without taking the spotlight away from the celebration. I’m also part of a community of photographers with whom I share continuous learning — I run workshops and mentoring sessions when the opportunity arises — but my main dedication and passion is wedding photography.
