I’m Juan Gestal and I do what I love most: photographing weddings. Based in Pontevedra, I travel throughout Galicia and across Spain to tell your story with sensitivity, discretion and a style that could be described as documentary, artistic and vintage. For me, every wedding is unique and my aim is that, when you look at the photos, you feel exactly what you experienced that day. My approach is grounded in simplicity and naturalness. I don’t force situations: I prefer to remain unnoticed and capture real emotions — laughter, embraces and those knowing looks that arise spontaneously. For couple portraits I seek the best light and offer gentle guidance, avoiding rigid poses that don’t reflect who you are. I believe in elegant photography with strong aesthetic quality, always close and honest. I like to build trust from the very first contact: the engagement session is often a great opportunity to meet, relax in front of the camera and ensure the wedding day flows naturally. On the day itself I work discreetly, attentive to composition and decisive moments, and I avoid heavy retouching: I enhance colors and details but steer clear of filters or effects that you might tire of over time. With over a hundred weddings photographed, I’ve developed an eye for authenticity and a working method many couples describe as friendly and professional. I’m moved by personal stories, venues with character (beaches, pazos, forests) and the small details that make your wedding unmistakable.
