I’m Mayte Cruz and my passion is to tell weddings from a place of closeness: images that take couples back to the emotion of their day. I work from my studio in Almenara (Castellón) and I travel throughout Spain and to special destinations when the story calls for it. My approach is based on documentary wedding photography: I seek naturalness, sincere gestures and the unique looks that never repeat. Why trust me with your wedding photography? Because my priority is caring for the couple’s experience: before the wedding we meet, talk about your priorities and, if you wish, we do an engagement/pre-wedding session to break the shyness and build trust. That connection shows on the wedding day: I work discreetly, allowing everything to flow and letting emotions surface so I can capture them authentically. My style combines sensitivity and storytelling: I photograph everything from the small details to the large scenes that define the day. I love documenting preparations, readings, family embraces and the evening celebration; this way I compose a coherent reportage that tells your story. I’ve also shot sessions in very different environments — from the Albufera and Mediterranean farmhouses to trips for post-wedding sessions — which allows me to adapt to varied light and settings. How do I work? We start with a conversation to understand your idea. If you like, we plan an engagement or couple session; the goal is for you to feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera. On the wedding day I act with professionalism and calm: I capture spontaneous moments without forcing poses and accompany you respectfully so you can live the day fully. Afterwards, I carefully select and edit the images to deliver a polished wedding report that preserves the original emotion.
