I’m Josué, Captador de Instantes: a wedding photographer based in Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid) with a single obsession: helping people be happy through images that endure. My focus is wedding photography. For me, a wedding is a unique story, and my work is about finding the beauty in every moment: delicacy, impact, naturalness, romance and a sense of humour. I work discreetly, remaining unnoticed when needed and calling attention when the scene deserves it, so I can capture spontaneous images with an editorial aesthetic where you feel authentic and radiant. How I work: before the big day I connect with the couple to understand their story, priorities and the feelings they want to preserve. That prior conversation allows me to design a reportage that places the person at the centre. On the wedding day I’m accompanied by an assistant so nothing is missed and I can concentrate on capturing emotional instants without interrupting the flow of the event. My style seeks simplicity and elegance: clean compositions, natural skin tones (I favour Canon for its colour reproduction) and the use of fast telephoto lenses to achieve blurred backgrounds and frames reminiscent of fashion editorials. The result is wedding photography with character — emotive and carefully composed. In addition to specialising in wedding reportages, I also offer couple, engagement and post-wedding sessions as complements to the main reportage; and occasionally I provide video as a secondary service. Nevertheless, my primary positioning and experience lie in wedding photography — the area where I invest my training, sensitivity and commitment.
