I’m Elias González, a wedding photographer based in San Fernando de Henares with more than a decade behind the camera. My work focuses on wedding reportage: honest images without forced poses, where the priority is to convey genuine emotions. I believe in documentary photography and artistic photojournalism: I observe, wait and shoot to catch those moments that will let you remember how the day felt. My motto —“to be moved first, so I can move you” — sums up my approach: I get involved, connect with couples and let the natural flow of the moment guide me. I avoid artificial posing and unrealistic retouching; I aim for honest images that age gracefully. How do I work with couples? We start with a relaxed conversation, either in person or via video call, to get to know one another. I usually recommend an engagement session because it’s the best way to get comfortable with the camera and with me: by the wedding day I am no longer a stranger and the photos will look more natural. On the wedding day I act as a discreet witness: I photograph from preparations to the party, prioritizing spontaneity and the moments that are often missed. In addition to day-of coverage, I offer the option of a post-wedding session — a creative, unhurried shoot in special locations (woodlands, beaches, mountains) to explore ideas the wedding day didn’t allow. You can also complete the memory with a wedding video as a complementary service if you wish. I live in Madrid but travel wherever I’m called: my vocation is to travel and tell stories with my camera.
