I am Juanfra García, a wedding photographer based in Cartagena. My work focuses on wedding reportage: seeking naturalness, emotion and the small gestures that turn a day into a visual story. My approach blends documentary photography with a careful aesthetic sensitivity: I am more interested in showing how the day was experienced than in creating forced poses. In every wedding reportage I prioritize connection with people; that is why I usually propose a pre-wedding or engagement session to get to know each other before the big day. That pre-wedding session helps relax the couple, work on natural chemistry in front of the camera and achieve more authentic wedding photos on the day of the celebration. I work throughout Cartagena and the surrounding areas, adapting to both indoor and outdoor locations: churches, country estates, beach settings or reception venues. Before the event we coordinate practical and creative details so the wedding reportage flows without stress: session locations, key timings and the essential moments you want to remember. During the wedding I focus on the story: preparations, ceremony, family portraits, cocktail hour and reception, seeking both spontaneous images and carefully composed portraits. Although my main specialty is wedding photography and pre-wedding/engagement sessions, I occasionally take on family shoots and pet photography as complementary services.
