I am Silvia Portero, a wedding photographer based in Crevillente, and my work is focused on telling love stories with sensitivity and honesty. I have a close, observant approach: I aim to capture real emotions and authentic moments without forced poses, so your wedding reportage reflects who you are and how you experienced that day. My approach is documentary and human. I prefer to stay unobtrusive when needed and to accompany gently when appropriate: that’s how gestures, glances and small scenes that never repeat themselves emerge. Empathy and trust are the foundation of how I work; I like couples to feel comfortable, relaxed and free to be themselves in front of the camera. From preparations to the final moments of the celebration, I look for a balance between spontaneous images and carefully composed portraits that will last over time. Before the wedding I usually suggest an engagement session to get to know each other, practice and create images that represent you. It’s a way to break the ice, experience what a session feels like and have intimate photographs ahead of the big day. In the wedding reportage I pay attention to light, details and emotions —without dramatization— adapting my style to the energy of each celebration. I work with respect and discretion so the atmosphere flows naturally, and my photographs focus on visual storytelling: family, laughter, embraces and those fleeting moments that are later remembered with a smile.
