I’m César Guerrero, a wedding photographer based in Silla (Valencia), and my work is driven by a single obsession: to tell your story as honestly as possible. I consider myself a curious observer; I pay attention to glances, gestures and the small details that often go unnoticed but are the truest evidence of how a day felt. My specialty is documentary wedding photography. That means I work without forcing poses or artifices: my aim is that when you look at your photos you recognise yourselves and feel again what you experienced. I stay unobtrusive throughout the day so I can capture natural moments, spontaneous laughter, sincere tears and those instants that later become memory. I prefer to intervene as little as necessary and let things happen so the wedding story remains faithful to the reality of the day. How do I work? We start with a conversation — often over a coffee — to get to know each other, talk about your preferences and plan the flow of the day. If you prefer, the meeting can be via videoconference. Before the wedding we draw up a flexible plan so nothing is missed and you don’t feel stressed. On the wedding day I simply ask you to enjoy yourselves: I’ll focus on staying discreet and being where emotions unfold. In addition to the main reportage, I offer engagement and post-wedding sessions as complements: the engagement session helps break the ice and build confidence, while the post-wedding session allows us to explore locations and create images at a relaxed pace. Still, my priority is always the wedding reportage: capturing the essence of the day. When I deliver the work I aim to provide a considered experience: I select and edit the images that best tell your story, and if you wish I can design the album or book with a simple, elegant layout.
